Day 1 ~ Saturday

Arrive at Barcelona airport, where you will be met by one of the inversion team.  Collection time will be 1pm at Terminal 2. We then drive to the accommodation to check in. We'll give a safety briefing and team you up with climbing buddies of a similar skill level.  In the evening a delicious, home-cooked meal will be prepared for you, so you can spend time getting to know your fellow climbers.

Day 2 ~ Sunday

After breakfast you will collect your packed lunch. Weather conditions will dictate the specific crag, but rest assured, it will be spectacular. You will begin your coaching journey with our resident coach and guide, Sabrina Paniccia. Two relaxed sessions during the day will give you the chance to warm up for the rest of the week.  Afterwards we'll enjoy a delicious home cooked meal back at the villa.

Day 3 ~ Monday

After breakfast we head out for another day's climbing with the focus on progression, whatever your current grade. Sabrina's coaching sessions will develop skills such as where and how to take rests, route strategy and athletic climbing.

Day 4, 5 and 6 ~ Tuesday to Thursday

We welcome our guest coach, Hazel Findlay, who needs no introduction! Over the next three days Hazel will share her knowledge on fear of falling, mental preparedness and flow climbing. Her techniques are suited to established climbers who want to improve their performance.

Day 7 ~ Friday

Sabrina will close the climbing adventure with a morning of coaching.  In the afternoon she will individually review your experience and prepare a bespoke training plan for you to take home.

On Friday evening we will have a group BBQ at the accommodation or a meal out in the local town. Enjoy your last evening in Spain with your new friends and celebrate your improved climbing performance!

Day 8 ~ Saturday

After an early breakfast we check out of the accommodation and you will be dropped off at the airport at approximately 1pm in time to catch one of the many afternoon flights back to the UK.

Optionally, you can extend your stay in Barcelona or the surrounding area. Transport links from Barcelona airport are excellent, the city bound train leaves every 30 mins from Terminal 2. If you need any help, just ask!

Food and Accommodation

We have a number of options available to us, all within a short drive to the centre of Margalef and, more importantly, the crags in the area.  Full details will be released once numbers are confirmed, but it is anticipated we will be staying in our own private villa with kitchen, WiFi and excellent washing/shower facilities.  We will allocate room shares on arrival.  If you are booking with friends, let us know and we will try and put you in a room together.

All meals are included from arrival on Saturday evening through to departure on Saturday morning with the exception of Friday night, which gives guests the opportunity to enjoy a communal BBQ at the accommodation or head out into the surrounding area to experience some of the local Spanish cuisine.

Experience Required

This adventure will push climbers who are already confident leading sport routes at 6a or can lead trad at VS.

If you are not climbing confidently at this level you will find that many of the topics covered will not be relevant for your current ability.  Please get in touch if you wish to discuss in more detail.

The first two days are warm up sessions focussing on movement and technical skills, these will be followed by three half days performance climbing with Hazel who will teach mental and flow techniques.  You will have time each afternoon to practise the techniques you have learned in the morning.

It is imperative that you can climb at a good level, for successive days in order to make the most of the adventure.
