Itinerary

Day One

Arrive at Barcelona airport, Spain, where you will be met by one of the inversion team.  Collection time will be 1pm at Terminal 2. We then drive to the accommodation to check in and hit the crag for a warm up session.  We'll give a safety briefing and team you up with climbing buddies of a similar skill level.  In the evening a delicious, home-cooked meal will be prepared for you, so you can spend time getting to know your fellow climbers.

Day Two

After breakfast you will collect your packed lunch. We have over 20 climbing areas to choose from, with grades ranging from absolute beginner, all the way up to 9b+. There really is something for everyone.  Weather conditions and group ability will dictate the specific crag, but rest assured, it will be spectacular. After an exciting day we head back to the villa for yet more delicious, home cooked food and time to relax with your new friends.

Day Three

After breakfast we head out for another day's climbing with the focus, regardless of your level, on progression. Whether that's progressing from top-roped grade 3 to 4, or from leading 7a to 7b. The beginners group will enjoy footwork drills, learning personal safety and coaching sessions on skills like route finding. The intermediate/advanced groups' coaching sessions will focus on skills like the mind game, where/how to takes rests, route strategy and athletic climbing coaching.

Day Four

Rest day, for those who want it! However, we have several optional activities for you including; yoga, guided hiking in the mountains, relaxing by the pool or if you just want to climb, our coaches will be on hand to run more bespoke sessions. In the evening, you have the option of a BBQ at the villa or to head out into the local area to experience the cuisine and hospitality first hand (optional rest day activities, BBQ and meals away from the villa are not included in the trip cost).

Day Five

Back to the climbing after the rest day. You will have the option to change groups at any time if you are progressing more quickly/slowly than you feel comfortable.

Day Six

After an early breakfast we check out of the accommodation and head off for our last day's climbing. We will head closer to Barcelona so we are just a short drive from the airport and can enjoy coastal crags or potentially even a trip to the world famous Montserrat rock formation just outside of Barcelona.

You will be dropped off at the airport at 5pm in time to catch one of the many evening flights back to the UK.

Optionally, you can extend your stay in Barcelona or the surrounding area. Transport links from Barcelona airport are excellent, the city bound train leaves every 30 mins from Terminal 2.

Food and Accommodation

We have a number of options available to us, all within a short drive to the centre of Lleida and, more importantly, the crags in the area.  Full details will be released in April once numbers are confirmed, but it is anticipated we will be staying in our own private villa with kitchen, WiFi and excellent washing/shower facilities.  We will allocate room shares on arrival.  If you are booking with friends, let us know and will try and put you in a room together.

All meals are included from arrival on Wednesday evening through to departure on Monday lunch time with the exception of Saturday night, which gives guests the opportunity to enjoy a communal BBQ at the accommodation or head out into the surrounding area to experience some of the local Spanish cuisine.

Breakfast options (to be ordered)

  • Porridge with nuts and fruit
  • Traditional Spanish breakfast with lots of bread, jams, croissants etc.
  • Ham, eggs, cheese, mushrooms, beans etc.
  • All served with proper coffee, teas, and juice

Packed lunch and snacks on the mountain

Evening meals

  • All evening meals will be prepared for you in our private kitchen, and will include fresh, seasonal, local produce.

Vegetarian, vegan and food intolerance options are available. We will be in touch with you after booking to discuss any personal requirements you may have.

Experience Required

In order to maximise your time with our coaches and to pair you with climbers of similar ability, we have split the team into two groups:

Beginner Group

If you have never led outdoors or want to gain confidence with your leading, this is the group for you. The group will be focussing on top-roping sessions for the whole trip, where safety and skills sessions will be run by our resident SPA or MIA. Learn new skills ranging from basic movement on rock, transitioning from indoor climbing to outdoor climbing, or learn to lead with  the safety of a top-rope. This is a fully guided group.  We will discuss your equipment requirements with you on booking.

Intermediate/Advanced Group

If you are confident to lead outdoors on Sport or Trad routes, this group will focus on helping you to improve your current grade, develop your climbing technique and general climbing ability.  This is a coached group, with our resident MIA on hand to oversee, give advice and to offer sports coaching.

If you are in any doubt as to what group you need to be in, don't panic! Climbers can switch between groups at any time.  After you book we will discuss your climbing ability and experience and suggest the best group to help you achieve your climbing goals.
